SONGWRITING

At the start of Melissa’s Junior year, she was accepted to be one of the seven songwriters at The Boston Conservatory. Although she has advanced music theory skills, is an intermediate guitar player, and a beginner in piano, she had never tried to write music before. Getting to be a part of this emphasis was life-changing as she got to explore a whole new side of herself. Melissa’s music varies in genre constantly to match the fact that she loves all music. From her own version of a Gershwin standard to comedy songs, she finds absolutely no limit to what she can write about.
